About Neet - PG

The NEET PG exam pattern is designed by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences. As per the latest NEET PG pattern, the exam consists of 200 multiple choice questions and each question is of 4 marks. With this, the total marks of the NEET exam are 800. Negative marking is applicable in NEET PG exam.

Eligibility Criteria for Appearing in NEET-PG

To be eligible for NEET PG 2025, a candidate must have obtained MBBS degree from an institute recognised by the Medical Council of India (MCI). Such candidates must possess MBBS degree or a Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate at the time of admissions.

Exam pattern and structure

NEET PG pattern comprises details about exam mode, medium, total number of questions, allotted time, and marking scheme. NBE conducts NEET PG exam in computer-based mode. The medium of the exam is English only. Candidates don’t have option to select any other language in NEET PG exam.

A total of 200 multiple choice questions are asked and candidates get 3.5 hours to answer them. According to the marking scheme, for every right answer, 4 marks are awarded while for wrong response -1 mark is deducted. No mark will be awarded/deduced for unanswered question.
